MY ENCOUNTER WITH CATARACT IN A DOG

One day one of my associate approached me for her dog’s problem. She told me that she had a female spitz who was 12 years of age and her vision had decreased than before. There was dirty whitish discharge from eyes with discoloration too. On consulting the Vet, she was informed that the dog had developed senile cataract. She was inquisitive whether we can help the dog. I told her that we would give this a try.
I prescribed her Calcarea flour, Calcarea phos and Silicea all in 6 potency to be taken three times a day for two months.
After two months she reported that there was no discharge. Dirty colour of eyes had gone and brightness had returned back. Vision was also slightly better. She had visited the Vet again who after examining said that senile cataract was much better.
